Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as one of the most influential technologies of the twenty-first century, reshaping education, governance, healthcare, communication, and cultural production. While AI offers remarkable opportunities for innovation and economic growth, it simultaneously raises complex ethical, social, and philosophical questions concerning human dignity, privacy, equality, and democratic participation. This paper examines AI from the perspective of humanities and social thought, arguing that technological progress must remain grounded in human values. Drawing upon interdisciplinary literature from philosophy, sociology, ethics, and education, the study explores the challenges posed by algorithmic bias, surveillance, labor transformation, and digital inequality. It further discusses the importance of ethical governance, digital literacy, and human-centered AI development. The paper concludes that sustainable technological advancement requires collaboration among policymakers, educators, technologists, and civil society to ensure that AI serves humanity rather than replacing human judgment or undermining social justice.
