Jana Nexus is committed to ensuring transparency and integrity in the publication process. All participants—authors, reviewers, and editors—are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research or its evaluation.
Definition of Conflict of Interest
A conflict of interest exists when personal, financial, or professional relationships may affect, or appear to affect, the objectivity, integrity, or interpretation of research.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must disclose any relevant conflicts of interest at the time of submission, including:
- Financial support, funding, or sponsorship
- Institutional affiliations that may influence the research
- Personal or professional relationships related to the study
If no conflict of interest exists, authors should clearly state that “No conflict of interest is declared.”
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers must:
- Disclose any conflicts of interest before accepting a manuscript for review
- Decline the review if any conflict may compromise impartiality
- Avoid reviewing manuscripts where there is a personal, professional, or competitive relationship with the authors
Editor Responsibilities
Editors must ensure that:
- Manuscripts are handled impartially and fairly
- Any conflicts of interest are disclosed and managed appropriately
- They recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where a conflict exists
Transparency and Disclosure
All disclosed conflicts of interest will be handled confidentially and, where appropriate, may be published alongside the article to maintain transparency.
Non-Disclosure
Failure to disclose a conflict of interest may result in rejection, correction, or retraction of the manuscript, depending on the severity of the issue.
