APC And Waiver Policy

Journal of Humanities and Social Thought (JHST)

To maintain high publishing standards, support a rigorous peer review process, ensure long-term digital archiving, and provide global open-access availability, the Journal of Humanities and Social Thought charges a nominal Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of a manuscript.

APC for Accepted Manuscripts
Indian Authors: USD 50
International Authors: USD 120

These charges are applicable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. There are no submission fees, and the peer-review process is conducted independently of the authors’ ability to pay.

The APC Covers:
Editorial and administrative processing
High-quality peer review
Plagiarism screening and technical checks
Digital Object Identifier (DOI) assignment
Online hosting and long-term digital archiving
Open-access availability for readers worldwide
Waivers and Discounts

The journal may consider partial or full waivers in exceptional cases, such as:

Authors from low-income or resource-limited regions
Early-career researchers without funding support
Special issues or invited submissions

Requests for waivers must be submitted prior to manuscript acceptance and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
